I stumbled on a stunning disconnect between the major media version of election coverage and candidate appearance trends on the internet. The Mainstream Media seems to have largely ignored something major on the web.
This version corrects a minor error in the first version. Note: This video has attracted a lot of attention from hater-trolls so I may block anyone that comes here to make trouble. All respectful and intelligent discussion is welcome.

The disintegration of the Hays Production Code continues. The late night liasion between Alexis Smith and Paul Newman was edited several times before approval was given to show The Young Philadelphians in theatres. Although tame by todays standards, the above clip was an example of the risque standards frowned upon by 1950s Production law.

I dedicate this video to my first grandchild, who just arrived in the world today. (It’s a boy.)

This love song was written and sung by The Weavers. Lee Hays seems to have done most of the work but all of them contributed in some way. It was apparently based on a song by Leadbelly. The song was also recorded by Peter, Paul and Mary, Jimmie Rodgers and Frankie Vaughan.

The lovely girl singing with me here is a friend from Brunei. She and her mother came to stay a few days with my wife and myself in Hong Kong, so I taught her a few folk songs and took the opportunity to record them with her.
